Welcome to the home of Second Chance Counselling Services, a place where you can
get the necessary support and guidance to help take the first step in recovering
from addiction. At SCCS we understand how debilitating addiction truly is for both
the users and their loved ones, which is why this practice is centred around relapse
prevention and recovery principals.
Second Chance focuses on the following:
Reaching a place of rock bottom is an overall existential crisis
Vocation – the key to finding solutions
Responsibility as a response
Self-help as a prerequisite for support
If you need help to make this happen and to uplift yourself to become the person,
and live the life you deserve to live, contact Second Chance Counselling Services

Many people feel uncertain and scared about asking for counselling. The truth is
that for some problems, counselling will:
Provide an opportunity for you to, in a safe place, talk about the issues you feel
you need to deal with
You will experience relief from guilt, depression, grief, rejection, addiction and
many other issues that can negatively affect your life as well as the lives of those
around you
Put you in a place where the emotional pain of your past can be eased, and in many
cases healed so that you can live a whole and better life
To successfully lift yourself out of a rock bottom situation requires not only that
you receive help and support from others outside of your situation, but that you
also learn to rely on yourself to make the ultimate difference in your situation.
When someone hears the word “addiction” they think drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, but
addiction is far more prevalent in day to day life that one might think.
Being addicted, simply put, means having something in your life that takes precedence
over all other relationships.
